What is Young Speakers Club?

Since 2005, Young Speakers Club (YSC) of Fairfax offers training programs for children and youth to improve their communication skills, learning skills, performance skills, and confidence through classes, workshops, camps, competitions, and special events in public speaking, writing, mathematics, science, on-camera presentations, and leadership.

YSC public speaking classes help students prepare and present better speeches, standup comedies, and classroom reports by researching and organizing ideas for public presentation and systematic practicing to improve confidence. Writing classes provide students the essential skills necessary for essay writing and creative writing. Math and science classes at YSC are designed to improve students' understanding of the subject and problem solving skills through hands-on application style instruction. Performance classes give students an opportunity to experiment with their talent and hone their skills as a script writer, director, and performer for TV programs.

Adult training classes are also provided by YSC to help professionals organize and conduct office meetings, participate in group discussions, and prepare and present professional presentations. These trainings provide help with creating powerful presentation decks and build self-confidence.

How To Enroll In YSC Classes and Programs?

Registration for YSC courses can be done through this website by clicking on the REGISTER tab and filling out the application form. After submitting the completed application form online, please mail the course fee to the YSC address, checks payable to Young Speakers Club.
